I was apprehensive at first about the display. When I discovered the Mini did not use a Retina display, I almost did not buy one. I like the iPad's beautiful resolution 3.

Apple used the same 1024-by-768 as the iPad 2, but the screen is 7.9 inches. In my opinion the resolution of the display is great. No iPad mini excellent, but not as bad as I thought it would. I have to agree with Apple and 7.9-inch screen that is perfect for a smaller tablet.

Mini is lighter than the 53% compared to 23% and thinner-is not a main selling point for me, but not a distraction either.

ISight camera 5 megapixels take great pictures and shooting film for what it is. I tried out the FaceTime and it works fine-resolution picture is enough.

Speed: The dual-core A5 powered device with a lot of computational power. I am very impressed as I think Mini's speed will be like Apple was trying to cheap products for a while. It does not. Surf the internet as fast as lightning!

I'm happy with the battery life. Apple says that the Mini has ten hours of battery life and they're pretty close.

I love the unibody aluminum casing. The thing is sweet search: sleek, like I'm in a science fiction movie uses a number of devices of the future. I heard a guy say it's sexy. I'm not sure that I would go as far as to call a hunk of aluminum, glass, plastics, and sexy, but it's very easy on the eye. Apple nailed it on the aesthetics of the Mini.

At first, I was peeved about Lightning (I'm still a bit). All my other devices connected to the 30-pin. I just got a cable to charge the Mini and four old cables that will eventually become obsolete. The small port is great though-it looks better, more compact and I understand why Apple did what they did ... but it still sucked when you have multiple devices by Apple with the old port. Everything has to change sometimes, I guess.

So with all that said and many more not mentioned: I am a fan of the iPad Mini, but I think it has been a little too high priced. I still have to pay another $ 130 compared to Kindle Fire HD, because I love Apple, but after playing around with a friend burn HD 7 ", I was very impressed with the fire and the price.
