Tu Voz con Christina Radio Show and Latino Espectacular join forces for a Celebration for the Latin Community

March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Latino Espectacular Magazine joins forces with the "Tu Voz con Christina Radio Show" on Pocono 96.7 FM to provide for and meet the needs of the ever growing Latin American Community. Latino Espectacular Magazine currently is in circulation in Lehigh Valley PA, Miami FLA, New York City NY and is excited to enter the Pocono Region.   Latino Espectacular started over 17 years ago by Isa Pereyra, originally from the Dominican Republic.  Isa resided in NYC when she came to the states, and then eventually moved to the Allentown, PA area along with her 3 children.  She persued a successful career in media communications,  currently producing a 3 hour TV program called "Domingos Espectacular".  Isa has won several awards for her work including "El Microfono del Oro", "Premios Estrella", "PLACA", to name a few and even recognition from PA Governor Tom Corbett.  Isa has also founded a modeling studio and formed Ballet Folkorico Dominicano, a dance group.  Isa believes in giving back to the community and even donates the dance groups performances for charity events.

It was during an appointment at a salon 4 years ago, Isa met Sylvia Torres-Piserchio, and the two quickly became friends.  Isa wanted Sylvia to join the Latino Espectacular team, but although she knew it was a great opportunity, wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger back then, until now.  Sylvia would soon become Director of Marketing and Sales of Latino Espectacular, something she takes great pride in.  When Sylvia heard the "Tu Voz con Christina" Radio Show, she recognized a common mission and knew it was only natural that Latino Espectacular Magazine connect with "Tu Voz con Christina".  It is Sylvia Torres-Pisercho, who shares her passion  by saying "I am so excited and I know that my decision to bring Latino Espectacular Magazine to The Poconos together with The "Tu Voz con Christina" Radio Show can provide a strong base for information, entertainment and support which the Latinos in the Poconos deserve and have been waiting for".  Initial run of Latino Espectacular Magazine will be 10,000 and circulated in the areas Walmarts, Shop Rites, Martz Bus Terminals, Wyndham Resorts, Monroe County Library to name a few.

Musical Artist/ Lead Guitarist, Mario Sebastian, has just joined the list of growing supporters for the upcoming "Tu Voz con Christina" Radio Show.  Mario Sebastian is a dynamic and multi-talented Latin American artist born and raised in the Spanish rock capital of South America; Argentina. Mario truly embodies the new breed of emerging bilingual pop/rock artists*.  In 2013, Mario performed alongside many high profile recording artists including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Thalia.  Mario Sebastian's song "End Of Time" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjjkTUa0M28,was selected as the shows theme, and "we are excited to be working with a talent of such calibre" says Christina Luna.

Pocono 96.7 recently won big at this year's Bizzy Awards, including “Best New Business” and houses the hit morning show "Gary In The Morning." Christina Luna comes from a background in public relations and sales in Barcelona, Spain. She emigrated to New York and quickly became a segment producer at Telemundo TV– covering local events in the Hispanic community for the daily morning magazine show, Acceso Total. At ESU she sensed a need for a radio voice for the growing Hispanic community. A community that was barely recognized before the 2010 Census revealed Monroe County has the third largest Hispanic population in Pennsylvania.  She launched ¨Tu Voz Con Christina¨ in April 2011.  The Latin community makes up 14 percent of total population in Monroe County, which is the 3rd highest percentage in all of PA*.  It is with these impressive stats, and her passion for the community at large, she decided to create a show for the Latin/American segment aimed at events, topics, music and news important to the Latin/American community.

In the year and a half she has been broadcasting, the Pocono Record newspaper has done two full feature pieces on the show and even lauded her on its editorial page.  A wide array of professionals, artists, community leaders have taken a chair in her studio and participated in her energetic conversation, lending their voices to Christina´s voice and finding an ear and a voice in her expanding audience. Upcoming guests are Wells Fargo, Inti Cuisine, The United Way of Monroe County, Rep. Rosemary Brown, FLECHA, Mignosis Super Food Town, Dr. Yelena Kipervas and many more.
