PRLog - March 10, 2014 - SAN DIEGO -- Cinco de Mayo has become almost like a national holiday to many people in the United States. Mexican culture is without a doubt leaving its mark and VivaMexico.com is doing just that with their new Mariachi inspired t-shirt.
If you’ve ever been to Mexico or to a Mexican festival or party chances are that you’ve heard a Mariachi band play. Dressed in their traditional outfits and sombreros while playing their music really gives listeners a real taste of Mexican culture at its finest. There really isn’t anything as Mexican as Mariachi music!
“The vision behind VivaMexico.com was to make Mexican products easily accessible everyone online no matter where they are in the world” said founder Brian Corona. Starting with only a few designs and letting word of mouth drive traffic to their site VivaMexico.com grew from inception in Spring 2013 to over 130,000 fans on Facebook who are fanatical about their products. “The numbers speak for themselves so we are going to keep delivering what people want.” At first we offered only male sizes but kept getting requests to add women’s t-shirts and eventually we even added shirts for children and babies”
We hope that the new addition of the Mariachi t shirt will push people to really embrace Mexican culture in the United States. Though Mexican-Americans are still considered to be a minority the Hispanic population continues to grow at a staggering rate. Hispanics are estimated to make up 17 percent of the entire US population and there are no signs of that number slowing down.
At just 25 years old, Founder Brian Corona had the idea of starting VivaMexico.com while on a trip in Mexico City. “I was browsing the shops and thought to myself that there had to be an online store that offered the same to people around the world.” Said Brian. “I looked online for what was available and found nothing. Something had to be done about that.” Brian secured the name VivaMexico.com for his company which is a very significant phrase of Mexico’s history. Every year on Mexicos independence day on September 15th the Mexican president rings a bell in the National Palace in Mexico city and yells the phrase “Viva Mexico” three times to the people gathered in the plaza below. The phrase Viva Mexico is one signifying Mexico’s undying presence and resilience which is the exact essence intended for the company.
