Heating Oil Tanks & Buried Hazards Located With High Tech Geophysical Instrumentation !

Abandoned Oil Tanks can be located using High Tech Ground Penetrating Radar. Using wand magnetometers and metal detectors is obsolete. Ground Penetrating Radar can identify metallic and Non Metallic Objects.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - March 8, 2014 - PRLog -- many companies are offering oil tank location sweeps using soil magnetometry. Soil Magnetrometry just provides a beep and is only accurate to 3 feet below the ground. Ground Penetrating Radar is a geophysical survey that can identified buried objects and show the results on a real time computer screen.Abaondoned " Filled In Place " tanks could be missed.  Ground Penetrating Radar can identify buried underground storage tanks, old septic systems, buried utilities, oil foundations and buring construction debris. Soil disturbances and " Sink Holes" can be identified. Environemntal Systems always recomends extra cost soil borings to confirm findings of Ground Penetrating Radar. Soil borings also will identify thru field screening if the soils within the bore hole are contaminated. With removal and remediation of leaking oil tanks costing in excess of $30,000 it makes sense to have a Ground Penetrating Radar survey perfromed prior to purchase.
