TEMECULA, Calif. - March 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Temecula, CA March 7, 2014:  The “Power Rangers” and the United Studios of Self Defense are teaming up! On Saturday, March 15th, the “Rangers”, in full costume, and members of the United Studios of Self Defense will speak on subjects such as “Stranger danger”, bully prevention, how to be safe, having a Ranger “attitude”, and acting like a Ranger. The event is FREE to the public, but you must register. Those appearing in costume will be the Mighty Morphin Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Green and White rangers, the Samurai Red and Gold rangers, the Megaforce red ranger, the Super Megaforce red ranger, and the Japanese Gosei Sentai Dairanger red ranger. They have all come together for a fund raiser on behalf of the Rancho Damacitas Facility and Thessalonika Family Services, also located in Temecula. Power Rangers: How to Become a Ranger, which will be held on March 15, 2014 at the United Studios of Self Defense (USSD) Dojo located at 40405 Winchester Road, Suite 103 in Temecula at 1:00pm. Again, the event is FREE to the public, but you must register. At this event there will be giveaways ranging the spectrum of the Power Ranger Toy line as well as a free drawing to win Vintage in box toys! There will also be multiple photo opportunities!

Jose Rodriguez, Sensei of the USSD Temecula Dojo and a lifelong Power Ranger fan, believes in giving back to the community in a big way. The first appearance the “Temecula” Power Rangers made was over the Christmas Holiday at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County in Murrieta, California. The USSD Dojo collected over 200 gifts for needy families! The Power Rangers Red Samurai and Green Mighty Morphin Ranger were on hand to pass out the gifts and take pictures with the kids.

But this is by far not the first fund-raising event put on by Sensei Jose and the USSD Dojo. With events like our Superhero Academy, where all proceeds benefited St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Sensei Jose not only feels it an honor to give back to the community, but a duty. One hundred percent of everything given at the events goes to the intended charity! They keep nothing, not even for expenses.

The charity, Rancho Damacitas, provides residential treatment services and a therapeutic environment consistent with the agency philosophy: to offer children individualized services within the intimacy of a small, family-oriented setting where they will experience safety, security and a strong sense of personal worth. Staffed by live-in home parents, each home provides residential care for six children where family and community are modeled, and where each child’s individual needs are carefully identified and addressed by trained clinical staff.
