The Great Gator Crossing is Less Than Sixty Days

April 1, 2014 - PRLog -- On May 31st 2014, two Dan Gurney Alligator motorcycles being ridden by Shawn Rolison and Shinji Morokuma will set out on an epic 8-state, 2,400-mile pilgrimage from Atlanta to the Alligator factory – Dan Gurney's All American Racers in Santa Ana, California.

And while we enjoy ourselves, we want to do good for others by raising funds for the Foundation for Women's Cancer, a national foundation dedicated to research, education and treatment of gynecological cancers.

Our ride – The Great Gator Crossing – is great because it is a unique combination of fun and philanthropy. A voyage of this distance has never been attempted on an Alligator – the revolutionary, limited edition, recumbent sport bike – let alone on two Alligators together (Most are in Museums).   We are excited about seeing this great country from seats that are only 18 inches off the ground!

We have scheduled stops at The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson in Phoenix, AZ just to name a few.

Plus, we know our ride will draw much-needed attention to gynecological oncology.  A medical specialty sorely in need of both physicians and funding.

A documentary of the ride is being filmed from planning to finish, and proceeds from the sale and distribution of the documentary will also benefit the foundation – and continue to do so long after our epic ride is over.
