PRLog - Mar. 7, 2014 - The Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux, the association of winegrowers for Bordeaux wines, will be unveiling the 2013 vintage at a wine-tasting event to be held in London (UK) on 19 March 2014. A total of 46 estates will be represented. Members of the trade and media are welcome to this unique and exciting event, and should contact the Press Office of the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in London if they wish to attend.

Showcased by the Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux, the association of winegrowers for Bordeaux wines, an exciting selection of wines from the right and left banks of the River Gironde (South-Western France) will be presented to members of the trade and the media on 19 March 2014 at the Meridien Hotel, in the heart of London. This will give professionals, journalists and wine writers a unique opportunity to taste the 2013 vintage. The event will take place from 4.00pm to 9.00pm.

The event is organised by the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE on 19 March, on behalf of Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux; it follows four previous wine tastings organised by Cercle Rive Droite (representing wine estates on the right bank of the River Gironde), which has now merged with Cercle Rive Gauche (for the left bank) in order to constitute Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux.

The wine tasting on 19 March will thus represent a unique opportunity for members of the trade and media to discover, in the heart of London’s West End, the 2013 vintage from right across the Bordeaux region in its entirety.

The Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux came into existence thanks to the aim of Alain Raynaud, its president and founder, which was to bring together, in one entity, the wines of the right and left banks of the River Gironde.

The Cercle Rive Droite, established in July 2002, has represented, for the past 10 years, a selection of 137 wines. As for the Cercle Rive Gauche, it was founded in April 2013. A parallel association to the Cercle Rive Droite, it groups together 51 wine estates carefully selected for the quality of their wine.

A total of 46 wine estates from across the Bordeaux region will be represented at the wine-tasting event. Please see the list below, organised as per the appellations; further details about any of the domains listed can be provided on request.
