BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - March 7, 2014 - PRLog -- As the weather shows signed of cheering up, why not plan an Easter break to Tyddyn Llan, the Michelin-starred ‘Restaurant with Rooms’ near Corwen in North Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, overlooking the Berwyn Mountains.

Tyddyn Llan has just 13, individually decorated rooms – including a garden suite on the ground floor with its own exit to the gardens – and a couple are dog friendly for those whose family pet also enjoys a short break!

It is the perfect place for exploring the area on foot, building up an appetite to enjoy Chef Bryan Webb’s delicious food in the evening.

There are six walking guides, free for guests, with a choice of moderate and strenuous walks to choose from including one to the mysterious Stone Circle.

Transport can also be arranged for more adventurous walkers to Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfalls, from where you can make take on the 8-mile walk over the top of the Berwyn Mountain back to Tyddyn Llan for a well-earned dinner.

There are plenty of other things to do and places to see in the area including Bala Lake, steam train rides on the Llangollen railway and the historic churches of Llangar and Rhug.

Another recommendation is a drive along the scenic Panorama route, high above the Dee valley, to enjoy amazing views from the Horseshoe Pass, and it is also possible to walk or take a long boat over the Pontcysyllte aqueductbuilt by Thomas Telford 200 years ago, which is now a world Heritage Site.

The two-night break costs from £280 pp (two sharing) in  a standard room which includes Bara Brith and warm Welsh cakes with tea on arrival, a glass of Louis Roederer Champagne and canapés before dinner, followed by a seven-course tasting menu, which might include new season lamb, local asparagus, wild salmon and sewin.

The second evening will include a second glass of Champagne with canapés and dinner from the seasonal menu.  Plus of course full breakfast on both mornings.

Room upgrades and extra nights are available on request at a supplement (from £110 pp for dinner bed and breakfast).

Call 01490 440264 (www.tyddynllan.co.uk).

Tyddyn Llan is a member of the Welsh Rarebits (http://www.rarebits.co.uk/home) collection of fine hotels.
