Acupuncture Education for Health Care Professionals

March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- The Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ITCM), is Canada’s oldest established school of Chinese Medicine. It is founded in 1970 in the city of Toronto by Dr. David Lam. Dr. Lam is one of the first doctors from China to teach Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada and he has been the Dean of ITCM for more than forty years.  We have been providing Acupuncture Education for Health Care Professionals throughout Ontario, including: Registered Massage Therapists, Physiotherapists, Naturopaths, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, Dentists and Chiropodists. The whole program is consists of 10 classes over a 12 month period. The courses are generally one month apart throughout the year, and not provided in the months of July and August. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Diploma of Acupuncture for their scope of practice.

We have offered a variety of educational programs previously, ranging from full Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Courses whereby the students become a Certified Acupuncturist upon successful completion, to Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal Conditions for Healthcare Professionals.
