Pathbuilders Celebrates 2013-2014 Percepta® Graduation

ATLANTA - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Women from 26 companies graduated from the Pathbuilders Percepta® program on March 4, 2014 in Atlanta. Percepta is a six-month program that focuses on developing high-performing professional women and preparing them for leadership positions within their companies. Percepta utilizes a unique methodology combining educational workshops, group mentoring and peer networking.

“Most of these women have mastered the technical aspects of their jobs and are ready to have greater impact, and for that they need a broader understanding of the inner-workings of their organizations and what it takes to be successful,” says Helene Lollis, president of Pathbuilders, Inc. “Our impact on organizations is how we are transforming the very people that will take the business to the next level.”

Percepta focuses on increasing awareness – both personal and organizational – and improving decision-making skills to help women position themselves for success. These learnings are further reinforced within their mentoring groups during the monthly educational workshops, so that mentees can identify areas of improvement and can immediately apply these learnings to their organizations.

Junior-executive high-potential women are paired with more senior-level mentors based on career aspirations and common challenges.  These mentors help guide their development and position them to have greater impact on their companies.

The award for the 2013-2014 Outstanding Mentor was presented to Maria Gallahue-Worl, Global Business Manager of Healthcare at Solvay Specialty Polymers. Gallahue-Worl is a 2008 Pathbuilders Achieva® graduate and a four-time Percepta mentor.

“As a result of Maria’s mentorship, I have a greater confidence in my professional journey and excitement about all that I still have to learn,” Anne Stewart Forbes of Merial Limited said.  “She was instrumental in making my Percepta experience a positive one, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be in her group.”

Forbes was part of the mentee group that recognized Gallahue-Worl, which also included Jean Coddington of Verizon Wireless and Cecile McDougall of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.

An outstanding group of mentees was also recognized at the session by their mentor, Katerina Gavalas, Director of Sales Services Center at McKesson Corporation. Women from this peer learning group included Cristina Cowan of Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta; Danna Gulley of Graphic Packaging International, and Kimberly Bordoni of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.

“My mentees truly sought to take the learnings from this program and apply them in their work settings,” shared Gavalas. “I am so proud of how quickly they have started to make positive changes in their professional and personal lives that will set them up for future success. Their desire to make a difference in their own careers as well as impact their business is admirable.”

Women who graduate from Percepta are ready to take on additional challenges and manage more significant key initiatives, projects and teams.

“Several women were promoted during the course of the program,” Lollis stated.  “And we anticipate hearing additional success stories from these women as the year progresses.”
