In total, the chefs from the hotel participated in 18 categories and won 11 medals and six additional Awards of Merit, beating their own record of five medals and six merits in 2013 and for the first time winning the gold medal.

The Emirate Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire attracted more than 1,300 young chefs aiming to become stars of the future, with a judging panel of 20 experts, each one of whom is an approved international judge of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates were awarded to those competitors whose exhibits, in the opinion of the judges, reached the commensurate international standard.
