With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Weinbrandt has an extensive background in senior management with Fortune 500 companies such AST, AT&T-GIS, Dell, and Gateway. As an entrepreneur he successfully founded and led two companies from inception to financial exit, with public company experience as a CEO.
After serving for nine years as an executive at Dell Inc., leading Dell's Enterprise Solutions group, setting strategy for the education division and leading Dell ventures public sector efforts, Mr. Weinbrandt joined Gateway Inc. as SVP, enterprise solutions group. After Gateway’s merger with eMachines, he also ran the business division and product services organization for Gateway. Following his executive positions at Dell and Gateway, Mr. Weinbrandt successfully founded two start-ups through financial exit, then joined Helix Wind, Corp. at a very early stage, serving as President/CEO and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Weinbrandt accelerated Helix Wind’s growth in the small wind alternative energy market taking the company public. He has been a board member for Meltronix and MiNT, both companies in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In addition, Mr. Weinbrandt has been an Entrepreneur in Residence with CONNECT, and a coach and mentor for Clean Tech Open.
