Express Go For Sweep of Holy Flames, Saturday At WEEQUAHIC HIGH SCHOOL

"Treach" of Naughty By Nature Added As Celebrity 13th Player

NEWARK, N.J. - March 5, 2014 - PRLog -- NEWARK, NJ-March 5, 2014-The Jersey Express ABA basketball team will make its final appearance of the regular season on Saturday as the Express is set to Host the Bronx Holy Flames. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.

The Express (8-2) aims to kick-off March just as it did in February, with a win over The Bronx Holy Flames. The Express bested the Holy Flames, 110-79, in the last meeting between the two teams.

The Express is coming off a three-point game loss to Staten Island Vipers on Saturday, but has its sights on a third win against the Holy Flames. Veteran Admin Hodzic (Budd Lake, NJ) delivered a game-high of 41 points against the Holy Flames in their last meeting. Hodzic wants to end the season on a high note “Saturday’s game. “It’s our last chance to leave an impression in front of our home crowd and we are going to be trying to put on a good show. It has been a pretty successful season for us so far and we will be trying to improve on our result in the playoffs from last year and make it to the final four."

The owner of the Jersey Express Marsha Blount stated “I am very excited with the success of the regular season, and to be heading to the playoffs once again. With the partnerships that we've formed with the Power of One Foundation, and Insight, we are able to bring you Newark's own Treach of the world famous Naughty by Nature as our celebrity 13th player, along with Veronica Bailey of Newark singing the national anthem, Newark's own DJ Terrell on the turntables, and pastor Ingalls, and finally the Tribe of Judah choir performing at halftime.  We begin the playoffs on March 15th, and are looking to bring an ABA championship to New Jersey."
