Audiobook Shares Powerful Message for Today's Youth

TAMPA, Fla. - March 5, 2014 - PRLog -- A Christian anthology, Growing Faith: Stories with a Message for Today’s Youth, now is available as an audiobook. The short story collection in the popular mp3 format teaches the importance of surrendering to God and doing what he says.

“It is my hope and prayer that the book reaches many young people and encourages them in their faith,” says Cheryl Rogers, who edited and compiled the ebook released last November. Rogers, editor of New Christian Books Online Magazine, also narrated the audiobook.

Like the ebook, the audiobook consists of six stories by four authors, including Edith Edremoda, David C. Russell, Kim Leatherman and Rogers.

Growing Faith starts with Run with Me, by Edremoda. Run with Me is the story of a young girl, Jessie, who likes to race her friend Fabian home from school. The trouble is, she never wins. So she asks God to do whatever it takes to let her win, just once. When Fabian is diagnosed with a hole in his heart, and requires surgery, Jessie realizes what she has done is wrong.

In the second story, Visit from God, Rogers tells the story of a young girl named Sarah who visits Heaven in her dreams. Sarah comes home with a message from father God for everyone she knows.

Good Days, Restful Nights, by Russell, is the story of how two boys learn the importance of obeying authority figures -- after their shoplifting spree goes awry.

In The Space Coast Caper by Rogers, two middle schoolers overhear two escaped convicts gloating about how they have been deceiving others, leading to their capture.

Pizza and a Cross, penned by Leatherman, is about how a youth group leader shares the path of salvation with a grieving girl Ally, who learns God the father loves her even if her parents don’t.

The final tale, Holy Ghost Stories by Rogers, is about a group of teens who have a surprise visit during a fall party/bonfire. They learn everyone has a role in God’s plan of salvation for a lost and hurting world.
