March 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Rosedale Golf & Country Club has unveiled its newest model – the Pristine VI – and it’s a stunner. Sleek and sophisticated yet warm and earthy, the 2,395-square-foot home has an open concept plan that is perfect for parties while still offering private spaces for work and relaxation.

“This is one of our top-selling home designs, bar none,” said Patrick Hogan, vice-president of The Hunt Group and developer of Rosedale. “People love open floor plans, and there is great flexibility with this particular layout. We’ve had people walk into this model and immediately decide they want to build one just like it.”

With two bedrooms and three baths, this home design is centered around a spacious great room that adjoins a chef-inspired kitchen, dining room and a den that could easily serve as a third bedroom. A screened lanai with outdoor kitchen, pool and lounge area takes full advantage of peaceful lake and preserve views and offers even more space for casual entertaining.

The model was styled from top to bottom by Linda Mixon of Linda Mixon Designs.  With a 13-year history of finishing models for Rosedale, she was entrusted with nearly free reign in selecting the colors and furnishings for the Pristine. “It was basically a blank slate when I started,” she said. “I knew they wanted something warm and casual and appealing. Something that would make people feel at home as soon as they walked in the front door.”

Mixon decided on a “restoration” theme that is very much in keeping with today’s design trends – lots of distressed woods and fixtures, organic textures and a color palette inspired by nature. Walls in the major living spaces are done in a soft, neutral shade of taupe, highlighted by rust-colored accent walls and eye-catching architectural detailings. Comfortable furnishings are used to introduce pleasing hues of brown, cream, green and rust. Linen window treatments and printed area rugs help to further soften and define spaces, while porcelain tile floors with a chiseled finish add a rustic look.

The kitchen is the centerpiece of this home with a spacious design, loads of storage space and a convenient center island. The 42-inch staggered cabinets are cream colored with a subtle caramel glaze that contrasts nicely with the granite countertops and travertine subway tile backsplash. Lighting is used to add interest everywhere, from the seeded glass cabinets flanking the oversized gas range to the accent lighting above and below the cabinets. The center island, finished in a rich chestnut brown, has open and closed storage and provides ample surface area for multiple chefs to work together. A cozy café offers an intimate space for casual dining, while sliding glass doors lead to a secluded brick-paved patio, an ideal spot for enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The kitchen is outfitted with gleaming stainless steel GE appliances, including a side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher and built-in oven and microwave. A charming oval window – a Rosedale signature – gives the homeowner a handy look-out post to monitor the arrival of guests and deliveries.

The Rosedale architects were especially thoughtful in their design of the dining room. Today’s homeowners often want a designated “formal” space for entertaining, but they don’t want to sacrifice square footage for a room that is rarely used. To solve that problem, the Pristine’s dining room is designed to be open to the main living area but still clearly defined as its own space. Its generous proportions provide plenty of room for large dinner parties when the occasion arises, but its open design allows the room to be easily incorporated into daily living routines.

A full laundry room just off the kitchen leads to a two-car garage with additional golf cart parking. In addition to appliances and drop-in sink, the laundry room includes a deep closet and plenty of cabinets and drawers for storage.

The master suite is inviting and serene with a lovely bay window that lets natural light flow into the space and maximizes views of a wooded preserve. A French door leads to the lanai, and double doors with a small foyer separate the suite from the rest of the house. The luxurious master bath has a double vanity with marble countertops, a walk-in shower with tiled accents and corner seat, and a spa-inspired soaker tub with a tiled surround. The adjacent walk-in closet is enormous and fully furnished with dark-wood shelving, racks and drawers – ready to accommodate the most extensive of wardrobes.

At the front of the home is a private bedroom and full bath, a most comfortable retreat for weekend guests. At the opposite end is a den with en-suite bathroom. This flexible living space can be configured as needed – as a home office, hobby room, bedroom, game room or whatever the homeowner chooses.

The Pristine is located in The Links, Rosedale’s newest phase that encompasses 237 acres of maintenance-free living. Residents of The Links enjoy full access to all of Rosedale’s renowned amenities – golf, tennis, clubhouse, etc. – and a social membership is part of every home purchase. The model is open for viewing Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.rosedalegolf.com or call 941-751-9070.
