DALLAS - March 4, 2014 - PRLog -- While the achievements, leadership, courage, strength and love of the women who built America is celebrated in observance of Women's History nationally this month, creator of  Real Beauty Inside Out, Dr. Trevicia Williams, is helping mothers and daughters pass on those qualities locally. A University of Georgia study found that unhealthy mother daughter communication sabotages social skills and increases chances of low self-esteem in girls after they become adults. That's why communication is the subject of the day at 8:00 am, Friday, March 7 at Young Women's Leadership Academy at Arnold Middle School (Grand Prairie ISD) located at 1204 E. Marshall Drive Grand Prairie, TX  75051.  Williams' will begin a series of presenting her signature seminar: I Love You But I Can't Stand You Right Now throughout the month.

The University of Georgia study says hypercritical mothers cause harm that can last a lifetime. The study says that mothers who are overbearing with their daughters are adversely affecting the development of their social skills, increasing the likeliness that they will will have low self esteem. Psychologist, Williams, (http://www.treviciawilliams.com/mother-daughter-relations...) is responding to the study with a series of seminars that helps moms and daughters  communicate more effectively so that they too can contribute to the richness of Women's History.

"Without effective communication, rich legacies are lost. Communication is the lifeline of all relationships and this fun empowering seminar helps mothers and daughters open up. The mother daughter bond entails imparting intangibles such as emotional health, self esteem, and, subsequently, life satisfaction. The relationship is a foundation that enables daughters to express her emotions in other relationships through out life," says Williams.

Research shows that raising a well-adjusted child requires positive parenting and minimizing criticism. The mother daughter relationship has more influence on a woman's personal development than her interactions with other family members. A daughter who has a strained relationship with her mother can have life long effects. "A tight bond between teen daughters and their mothers helps girls socially as well. Girls are less likely to succumb to peer pressure when they have a secure bond with their mothers," says Williams.

Through the communication seminar that Williams teaches, mothers and daughters learn ways to share information, express themselves and thrive through one of the most trying stages of their relationship: Adolescence. "Sensitivity, intelligence, creativity, a warm heart, a sense of accomplishment upon successfully achieving a goal, and, wisdom are all cultivated and nourished during a girl's primal years" says Williams.
