What Is Concreate? Find Out More At Ecobuild 2014

Concreate are proud to announce that they will be exhibiting at the upcoming Ecobuild show at the ExCel centre in London in March. Due to the unique nature of their product, an introduction may be useful.

PRLog - Mar. 4, 2014 - WOKING, U.K. -- Concreate manufacture a range of flooring and wall panels, which are constructed from magnesium oxide. Whilst magnesium oxide may not be the first material of choice for many when it comes to interior decoration, it has numerous advantages over other building materials. Primarily, the magnesium oxide panels we manufacture are one of the greenest floor and wall panels currently available on the market.

The green credentials of their product are twofold. Firstly, the manufacturing process uses up to 60% less carbon dioxide than traditional concrete. Secondly, Concreate panels contain no harmful chemicals and have extremely low VOC emissions.

Their panels have been widely accepted and certified as environmentally friendly; due to this they have been awarded the prestigious Green Leaf Mark for Consumer Goods.

The benefits of Concreate panels are not strictly environmental. Their panels are extremely durable and long lasting. Once installed within a domestic setting they provide a 35 year guarantee against structural defects. Concreate panels improve the efficiency of heating systems because their panels act as a thermal mass, meaning that they store ambient temperature. This also means that their panels work effectively when used in conjunction with under floor heating systems.

People may dismiss polished concrete as an interior design material; however their panels are available in a number of aesthetically beautiful colour schemes. Concreate panels are available in four tasteful colour variants; Natural Grey, Dark Grey, White Mineral and Smoked White Oak and each of their panels has a unique appearance. This effect is achieved due to the manufacturing process they employ. Once the panels have been poured and pressed, they are left to cure outside, prior to being kilned, in order to increase their durability and structural strength. This process also means that each panel has a unique pattern which cannot be replicated, meaning that each panel has an individual character.

Concreate panels can be quickly and effectively fitted. This is because Concreate panels can be laid just as easily as laminated flooring. However, their panels have the advantage that the installation process is dust free and panels can be walked on as soon as the installation is finished.
