Shamrock Foods unveils retail warehouse concept to El Paso area with March 5 grand opening

EL PASO, Texas - March 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Shamrock Foods, one of the top 10 foodservice distributors nationally, is introducing its newest resource for the foodservice industry – the Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse, a new store concept specializing in food and foodservice supplies. The El Paso store’s grand opening will take place on Wednesday, March 5, with grand opening prizes for the first 250 shoppers, a food drive benefitting El Pasoans Fighting Hunger and a special dedication ceremony.

The Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse offers approximately 7,000 food and foodservice items at a convenient location (11751 Gateway West, Ste D) and without the added cost of a club membership fee.

“The Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse enhances Shamrock Foods’ ability to serve as the complete foodservice resource. The store both provides a supplemental resource to our existing customers, and expands our reach to small businesses, clubs and other organizations,” said Jim Miller, director of cash and carry for the Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse.

The public will get their first opportunity to experience the 20,000-square-foot facility at the grand opening on Wednesday, March 5. Doors open at 7 a.m. and the first 250 shoppers will receive special scratch-off tickets, each featuring an instant prize. All shoppers on grand opening day will also have an opportunity to enter to win a $500 gift certificate to the store. A brief dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. will feature remarks from Shamrock Foods founding family and local dignitaries, culminating with a formal ribbon cutting.

Customers are also invited to help “Stuff the Truck” to benefit the local Feeding America food bank, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. A truck stationed in front of the store will serve as a drop-off point for the organization’s top ten most-needed donations, which include brown rice, beans and oatmeal. The Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse will do its part to stuff the truck by matching the community’s donations, up to $5,000.

The El Paso location will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
