RICS to conduct workshop on ‘Optimizing Risk Management in Construction Projects’

New Delhi, 25 February, 2014: RICS is organizing its 8th series of construction works  hops on the topic “Optimizing Risk Management in Construction Projects”on 10^th, 13^th and 15^th March 2014 at three locations, New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, respectively.

The one-day advanced level workshop aims to provide an understanding of project planning, procurement strategies, contract management practices, and risks and controls during the project lifecycle. The workshop will be conducted by expert faculty including

Enforceable and thorough contracts are the very foundation of any construction project. Over the last few years, contractual obligations have undergone tremendous change and international markets and dependencies have an impact on exclusion and liability clauses and ownership challenges. With this, it is even more critical to update one’s knowledge and understanding on construction contracts and incorporate the latest developments to one’s projects. It is imperative to successfully manage today’s risks in contracts, while maximizing opportunities amidst the current market scenario in the real estate and construction sectors.

The workshop therefore, will also educate participants on structuring valuations to suit varied contractual models.
