LONDON - March 4, 2014 - PRLog -- After several months of preparations and strategic planning, we have decided to obtain our own

Autonomous System number (AS number) as well as our own IP space for our US presence.

This step marks a crucial upgrade for our US PoPs as it will give us a lot more flexibility in every aspect. We will be able to bring in more high quality feeds via BGP in addition to the ones we have obtained already, such as from Atlantic Metro and Init7. Not only will this improve routing even further, it will also bring down latencies down as well, from a level that is already considered very low. We see sub 1ms latencies to major exchanges at central PoPs, sub 20ms between New York and Chicago, and we are scratching at the sub 70ms mark between London Telehouse and New York already.

Furthermore, we will be able to provide enterprise grade DDOS protection at consumer pricing. This has been declared a major milestone for the next couple of months, and we are already bringing several major players aboard here.

Our first PoP to benefit from this new setup will be the one at Telehouse Chelsea, New York. Soon to follow we will be able to bring this to Chicago as well, and eventually to Fremont.
