Opus Auction Officially Launches with Sale of Chinese Contemporary Limited Edition Prints

HONG KONG, February 19^th 2014 – OPUS AUCTION (www.opusauction.com), Asia’s newest, innovative fine arts and luxury online auctionhouse announces its official launch, with the sale of several exclusive contemporary prints by Chinese artists such as Zhang Xiaogang, Zeng Fanzhi and others. The event is slated to take place February 24th - March 3rd 2014.

Available online only, Opus Auction’s Chinese Contemporary sale will feature limited collection works by Zhang Xiaogang from his famed “Bloodline: Big Family” series; as well as works by Zeng Fanzhi whose pieces recently sold at Sotheby’s for an record-setting 23.3 million USD; Fang Lijung, whose vibrant works are famed for leading the Cynical Realist movement in modern China. Other limited edition prints by artists such as Feng Zhengjie, Luo Brothers, Yangshaobin are also available.

Opus Auction also offers one-of-a-kind GIA-certified loose diamonds and gemstones, as well as setting custom design and setting services. “Loose diamond prices have been rising steadily through the years, making it an ideal investment alternatives.” says Managing Director, Sandy Ip. Brand History

Sandy Ip, Managing Director
Sandy Ip worked on Wall Street before giving up a career in Finance and Accounting to start her own jewelry design company. Her jewelry line was carried by boutiques and large department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales.com. In 2010, Sandy returned to China to lead a team of 300 and restructured the entire operation. From this experience Sandy learned valuable management skill in business and human resources. Sandy holds a MBA from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College. Sandy loves spending time outdoors and trekking mountains in the Himalayas, Africa and South America.

Bong Lee, Director of Sales
As an expert in the Art industry, Bong brings to Opus his wealth of knowledge and passion in Art. At the tender age of 13, Bong had his first real encounter with fine art when he damaged a Picasso ceramic at home, accidentally.  Little did he know, this was just the beginning of his lifelong affiliation with Fine Art. Bong has worked as an Art Consultant in Korea and launched Gana Art Gallery in New York City. Bong holds a Master of Art Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College. Bong lives and breathes art; he is an avid art collector.
