NEW YORK - March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Agnes Davis, CEO of swim swim swim I SAY (sssIS, www.swimswimswimisay.com), the only female owned and operated swimming company based in Upper Manhattan servicing Harlem and the Bronx teaches just more than swimming to over 100 students and families. Davis is on a mission to inform her students and parents that incorporating healthy habits can be as simple as drinking a glass of water and jumping into the pool.

The mission of sssIS is to introduce healthy habits to students in and out of the water while encouraging changes to reduce diabetes, hypertension and drowning in African-American and Hispanic families.

Davis says, “Water is our best natural resource and a free caloric drink." Last month, First Lady Michelle Obama, was in New York promoting the importance of water and how we need to incorporate it into our daily lives.

"One of the greatest forms of exercising is performed in the water – swimming. Not only is this sport a great full body workout, it also does not put pressure/stress on the joints. The biggest muscle that will be happy for your swimming exercise is the heart. The heart is an important muscle to keep the entire body functioning harmoniously. Treat your heart nice by exercising regularly and drinking tons of water,” says Agnes Davis.

sssIS has been featured in the following media outlets: NBC Today Weekend, ABC-TV, DNAinfo, Amsterdam News, Black Enterprise, WBLSFM-Steve Harvey Morning, The Network Journal and Newsone.com.

Davis’ company teaches instructional swimming to children and adults in her neighborhood of Harlem and at CUNY Hostos College.

Agnes Davis’ Healthy Living Water Tips:

1.    Drinking water helps to maintain healthy body weight by increasing our metabolism and appetite

2.    Water flushes out toxins in the body and aids in digestion

3.    Water moisturizes the skin from the inside out

4.    The daily recommended amount of water is eight cups a day or 1.5 liters.

5.    Get into the pool and exercise
