PRLog - March 3, 2014 - SAN DIEGO -- Patrick Scott, a game designer known for his innovative board and card game designs, announces the release of a new board game, King’s Favor - A Game of Courtly Intrigue.
King's Favor - A Game of Courtly Intrigue
Four to twelve players compete as nobles in a competing royal house building influence and power to win the rule of the kingdom. King’s Favor plays fast, yet every game is different through a rich selection of characters and specifically with the political strategy brought by each player.
The design team placed the game in a world inspired by the royal courts of Renaissance Europe to appeal to the lovers of story and art. Classical costumes for each player’s role card let a player imagine themselves in the heart of their role.
“My goal was to develop a game set in the worlds of modern aristocratic fiction similar to George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and HBO’s Game of Thrones,” commented Patrick Scott. “I strove to create large-group play, multiple victory conditions, and light social deduction gameplay.”
King’s Favor just launched on Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/
