March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Anyone interested in becoming a great, published writer will get the chance to experience some in-depth, comprehensive instruction in the art of literary expression at the Writers Resource Center's first ever "Writing for Publication" series. The two-hour workshops will be a mixture of lecture and extensive writing exercises covering all genres. The sessions kick-off on Tuesday, March 11 and will take place every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6 pm to 8 pm through April 4 at the WRC office, located at 1652 West Texas Street, in room 151 (in the rear of the building), in Fairfield. Enrollment is now open and will run through March 7. However, walk-in registrations will be permitted on the night of the first class. For more information, call WRC's founder and CEO Janie P. Bess at 877-629-7369.

"We are so excited about this," says Bess. "For the first time we are offering night classes, giving students who may not be able to attend at any other time, the opportunity to work with world-class, New York Times Bestseller authors and experienced local authors."

The workshops are for adults only, age 18 and up. Students must be computer literate and should bring their own laptop or other electronic tablet device.

Become A Part of WRC's Anthology; Join the Discussion March 8

Writers Resource Center members are accepting submissions for their very first anthology titled, Passions: A Look into a Writer’s Heart.  Anyone interested in having their work included should bring their manuscripts to the group’s next regular meeting planned for Saturday, March 8, 10 am to 12 noon. The book is scheduled to be published this coming fall. The meeting will take place at WRC's office, located at 1652 West Texas Street, in Fairfield.

“Get your submissions and short stories ready,” Bess says, encouraging writers to bring their work to the meeting.
