Prince William County Holds Unassembled Caucus to Elect Delegates for Tenth Congressional District Nominating Convention

Gainesville-
The Prince William Democratic Committee (PWCDC) will hold an unassembled caucus from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Haymarket Town Hall, 15000 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA.  All registered voters living in the tenth Congressional District of Prince William County who are Democrats may cast ballots.  This is the first and most important step in determining who will be the Democratic candidate for U. S. Congress from the Tenth Congressional District.  As of this press release there are two candidates running for the Democratic nomination: Richard Bolger and John Foust.

The caucus will elect 22 delegates and 4 alternates to the 10th CD convention to be held April 26 where the selection of a candidate will take place.  Convention delegates typically run as committed to one of the candidates.  This makes the caucus the key step in selection of the candidate.  Any registered Democratic voter may become a delegate candidate by completing an application which can be found at www.pwcdems.com.

All eligible voters are invited to participate in the caucus.  Also, there will be a candidate’s forum sponsored by the Gainesville Magisterial District Democratic Committee (GMDDC) from 10:00AM until 11:30PM, Saturday, March 8 at Haymarket Town Hall.  All interested voters are encouraged to attend.  Come find out which candidate is your best choice.

For more information on the unassembled caucus, please contact the PWCDC Vice-Chair, 10th Congressional District, Tom Kehoe at (703) 753-2906 or email him at: kehoetom@comcast.net.   For additional information on the GMDDC candidate’s forum, please contact the GMDDC chair, Bill Hardy at (865) 671-1090 or email him at: bhardy@gmddems.com.
