Holly created a solar system and used Styrofoam balls to represent the planets and covered the balls with hair that was dyed to add color and texture to her mock galaxy. The planets revolved around a mannequin head with a top hat. The mannequin face was airbrushed to display a starry night and frizzy hair was dyed white and used to portray fluffy clouds.
“Holly worked so hard on her project, she absolutely deserved to win,” said Christina Welch, the admissions director of the award-winning beauty school. “She was a winner at school too. She had a 97% attendance record, graduated three months ahead of schedule and has a job lined up. We are very proud of her.”
ITS Academy of Beauty is a cosmetology school that provides students with a distinguished environment that mirrors many of the upscale salons that will employ the cosmetology school’s graduates after they complete school and earn their cosmetology license.
“Cosmetology is a great career that offers stylists flexibility and creativity in their work environment, as well as the opportunity to help people look and feel good,” said Margie Wisniski, vice president of operations. “We invite anyone interested in learning more to make an appointment and take a tour of our schools and see what sets them apart from the rest.”
In addition to the award-winning beauty schools in Texas and Lawton, Oklahoma the company owns and operates Olympian University in New Mexico, International Academy of Hair Design in Arizona and Hair Benders Academy in Florida.
