Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce Elects Three New Directors to the Board

Michael Giordano of Giordano Elder Law is elected as one of three new directors. Each new director brings unique perspective and expertise in business.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Jeff Palm, Executor Director of the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce, announced that three new members were elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors at the Annual Business Meeting held in December 2013.  The directors will serve a four year term and they are: Michael C. Giordano, Ashlee Altland and Courtney Wozneck.

Jeff remarks, “They are a great group of individuals from many different backgrounds who, I feel, will have much to contribute to our chamber and the community. I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”

Michael Giordano, Attorney & Counselor at Law, Giordano Law: Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queens College in 1978, his MBA in Finance from St. John’s University in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1987. Michael comes to PA from New York City where he had 20+ years of experience working in banking and insurance and then for several large international law firms. In 2006 he left NYC to start a solo practice which focuses on Elder Law, Trusts, Wills and Estate Planning, VA Benefits Claims and Social Security Disability Benefits. In addition to being an elder law attorney in Mechanicsburg, PA and Blauvelt, NY, Michael is also a Nationally Certified Guardian.

Ashlee Altland, Recruitment and Family Development Specialist II, Diakon Adoption and Foster Care: Ashlee received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Penn State University in 2004. Since then, she has worked in various community outreach programs, primarily with at-risk youth to improve the community at large. She has worked at Diakon Adoption & Foster Care since 2006 both as a Case Manager and, most recently, as a Recruitment and Family Development Specialist. Her education and experience continue to allow her to recognize community need and facilitate collaboration for improvement as she participates both personally and professionally in various local organizations.

Courtney Woznek, Director of Sales, Comfort Suites Carlisle: Courtney received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 2006 from East Carolina University. After moving to Pennsylvania, she returned to HACC to study Hospitality Management and upon graduation was hired as the Director of Sales at the Comfort Suites in Carlisle. Courtney continues to strive for excellence in the hospitality industry and foster relationships through her active participation in various local organizations and clubs.

The Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization promoting the commercial and community interests of Mechanicsburg, PA and the surrounding communities.
