PRLog - March 3, 2014 - LOS ANGELES -- Ever get bored with being human?
ZODD The Immure
Maybe you’d prefer to be part of an empire that spans the stars, ortobe born withpsychic powers, or live a life of glamour that lasts forever? Or you might just have a hankering to climb up walls with your multiple arms andlegs. InZODD THE IMMURE, you can be all the aliens you want to be.
You begin ZODD THE IMMURE, Abyss Studio’s first video game, as an ordinary human working a dull meaningless job for a brutal alien race.Quit your job, steal a spaceship, and you’ll launch yourself into galactic adventure.
You’ll explore the part of the Zodd galaxy where you live -- a star cluster surrounded by an impenetrable barrier called The Immure. Anything that touches The Immure, from spaceships to stars, is totally annihilated. No onehas ever figured out how to escape it.
Early in your journey you’ll meet a mysterious entity called HOST4, who gives you an unimaginable power – the ability to change your human body into any of the five intelligent alien species within The Immure.
“We’ve created a sandbox game you can really immerse yourself in. But at its core ZODD THE IMMURE is an RPG within an RPG,” says Abyss Studios founder and designer Hugh McCullom. “Each species has a distinct culture. In order to stay alive, you need to be able to blend in with five distinct alien societies. So if something looks disgusting but everyone else is eating it, dig in!”
On March 3rd, Abyss Studios launched a month-long Kickstarter to fundZODD THE IMMMURE. Created by Hugh McCullom (Tony Hawk Shred, DreamWorks Super Star Kartz) and writer Randolph Heard (The Tick, Tak & the Power of JuJu, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), ZODD THE IMMURE has been in the works for a while, with all participants donating their efforts. Now Abyss is coming to the gaming community to ask for help in funding the game and inviting them to participatein the production process.
“If someonehasa cool idea for a weird planet or cool species” Heard says, “we’re totally open to hearing about it. We have enough space inside our Immure for the community to join us.”
Abyss Studios’ Kickstarter goal is $250,000. Check out the ZODD THE IMMURE Kickstarter at: https://www.kickstarter.com/
