LAS VEGAS - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Hakkasan Group recently announced the acquisition of Angel Management Group. AMG manages a number of significant hospitality venues, including Hakkasan’s own Nightclub at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, together with PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace, WET REPUBLIC Ultra Pool at MGM Grand, Social House restaurant inside The Shops at Crystals, HQ Beach Club, and HQ Nightclub at Revel in Atlantic City.

In a recent King of Nightclubs article. Joe Vargas reported that this all started over (Khadem Al Qubaisi) the backer from the middle east that opened Hakkasan Nightclub with Neil Moffit (former CEO of AMG), being denied a table at XS nightclub some time ago which led him to open Hakkasan Nightclub. (Original Article at KingOfNightclubs.com). Vargas also reported in the same article that rumors have been floating around the closure and remodel of PURE Nightclub.

The recent rumors I have heard is that the closure of PURE Nightclub will happen within the next 60 days and will cost well over $100 Million Dollars. But are these just rumors floating around the Las Vegas Nightlife scene or is this part of the strategic war for one group to dominate the Las Vegas Nightlife industry?

You cannot count out one of the first to dominate the Vegas Nightclub Scene, Mr. Victor Drai. With Nightclub Veteran and Expert Brian Affronti at the helm the $85 Million Dollar Mega Club “Drai’s Nightclub & Beachclub” will soon be opening atop The Cromwell.

Jason Strauss and his team at Strategic Group recently covered the pool at Marquee Daycluballowing them to host inside and outside parties all year round.

SBE Nightlife Mogul Sam Nazarian will open his stand alone SLS Hotel Labor Day Weekend 2014. Which will include a restaurant by famed chef José Andrés, a branch of Katsuya by Starck, a “reinvention” of LA nightspot The Sayers Club, an outpost of Umami Burger, and several other nightlife, dining and entertainment experiences.

So whats the next move for Jesse Waits? In a recent interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Waits said “This year, instead of doing DJs who might cost less or have less draw, I had to go and book more of the biggest DJs more frequently. I had Guetta 12 times last year, I’m doing him 20 times this year. With Avicii, I had him 10 times last year, I’m doing 18 this year. Same thing with Kaskade, Zedd, Skrillex. It’s the headliner power and investing in production and staying ahead of everyone else. At one time, we had the best production in town. Now you have people like Light that have these insane systems. It’s about creating the best experience possible.”

And even though we just saw a new addition from the Light Group with Light the first ever nightclub turned on by Cirque Du Soleil.  Rumors are going around that HAZE Nightclub may be undergoing a remodel sometime this year as well.

So wither it’s the Vegas Nightclubs At War or just Business as usual, this 2014 Nightclub Season is going to bigger and better then ever before.
