HOUSTON - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Terri Denise Johnson has worked extremely hard to place her show — Talking2Terri — in the No. 1 slot on the Houston Media Cable Network. Johnson has been able to accomplish this by combining a straight forward, no holds barred, approach to dealing with highly controversial topics.  She has had topics such as Church Hurt, Adultery Saved My Marriage, The Art of Manipulation in the Church and more. This coming week, Johnson will be back at it again; this time engaging the elephant in the room that no one wants to acknowledge exists — sex among teenagers.

After coming off of this past week’s show, which was light in comparison to previous weeks, Johnson decided it was time to crank the heat back up. The most recent show featured dialogue on relationships, which is a pending series topic on Johnson’s agenda. The show also featured poetry from Maya Nicole White who — at the age of 18 — is a published author, poet and public speaker. Maya will also be returning this coming week to take part in the discussion about teens and sex. Other teen guests on the show are Arlando Anthony and Jason Mondesir. Dr. Rick Wallace, former co-host of the show, will also be dropping by to shed psychological and biblical insight on the matter. Wallace and Johnson have become extremely close over the last several years while working as co-hosts on the Talking2Terri radio and TV shows.

Though some will ultimately erroneously read into the title of this upcoming show, “Let’s Talk about Sex” is a discussion about finding the most relevant manner in which to discuss this all-important topic with teens. Johnson asserts that using the religious — you are going to hell — approach is highly ineffective and Wallace adds — doctrinally fallible. They both insist that adults must find common ground and a more relative approach to engaging youth on the matter. “Our youth are smarter than we give them credit for and they have valid questions that deserve real answers, not reactive responses designed to avoid the issue all together,” says Johnson.

No matter what your thoughts may be on the matter, you can be sure that the issue will be addressed and undressed by Johnson. Johnson has made it clear since her career took off that she is about finding answers that edify, enlighten and restore. Another thing that you can be certain on is that you cannot predict which direction this show will take. Johnson is not known for pumping the breaks when topics change directions, and no one should expect her to change her approach for this one.
