The play focuses on infidelity. Couples across the nation are dealing with cheating within their personal relationships. With such a painful topic of discussion, author Tonja Ayers has found a way address the matter in a comedic way. Derived from the bestselling book ‘A Ho Needs to Stay in a Ho’s Place’, Ayers solicited scriptwriters DuJuan Johnson and Mark Hunter to bring her vision from the pages of the book to the stage. In addition to Johnson and Hunter, Ms. Ayers has recruited Melissa Talbot to direct and produce the production. This stage play will bring you face to face with the horrors involved in an unfaithful relationship and promises to keep your complete attention until the curtain drops.
Ayers’ book ‘A Ho Needs to Stay in a Ho’s Place’ has a brash title and promises to raise eyebrows initially; however the book is a witty satire on the bylaws and guidelines of dealing with a married man. Want to know if you’re the sideline honey? Guess what? The book even contains a test! Remember the C.A.T we all were subjected to in elementary school to get an assessment of our grade levels outside the classroom? Well, the Ho Aptitude Test (H.A.T) determines if a woman is a really a man’s ho outside the boudoir. “Many women do not realize they are the side piece until they take my test,” states Ayers when asked about the H.A.T.
With a large, loyal following in greater Detroit, Ayers, a well-known businesswoman, has spent years as a sounding board for her customers. In 2009, she released her first handbook, "A Ho Needs 2 Stay in a Ho's Place" which was based upon the many stories of infidelity her customers would tell her about. Ayers decided to write books regarding the most popular discussions held between her and her customer base which led to her other self-help books "How to Start Your Own Business", "Is Your Man Gay?" "Cheaters: The Who, What, When, Where and Why of Cheating" and her first novel; "The Apple Don't Fall Far from the Tree". All books are available on Amazon.com and go to www.stayinyourplace.com for more information on the book or the play.
