SWANSEA, Wales - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- For the second year in a row, Swansea based Save Britain Money group has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK on The Sunday Times Best Companies list. The firm that also features in the BBC show ‘The Call Centre’ was announced at number five on the list during a glittering award ceremony in London. Save Britain Money were one of only two companies who retained their top ten status from the 2013 list.

The money saving group, founded in 2005 by Swansea businessman Nev Wilshire, found national fame last year after starring in an award-wining BBC docu-soap screened on BBC3 and BBC1 during summer 2013. The show returned to our screen is December with a coveted Christmas special.

Listed alongside companies in the mid size category such as AO.com (4th) Bravissimo Ltd (14th) and BMW (67th) Save Britain Money CEO Nev Wilshire said he was ‘absolutely delighted’ to have been recognised for his commitment to employee engagement once again. He said;

“We entered the 2014 awards on a high after finishing as the 2nd best company to work for in the UK last year. To have picked up such a prestigious award again this year is absolutely fantastic. Although my methods of building a happy workforce through, singing, dressing up and parties might not be for everyone, this is proof that it can work. I have always prioritised the welfare of my staff and many people will support my belief that happy people make for a successful workforce. We are extremely proud to once again represent Wales on a national stage.”

“I am absolutely delighted that our company has once again been given recognition as a great place to work. There must be something in the Welsh water that makes businesses here great places to work. Fellow welsh businesses Iceland and Admiral Group did exceptionally well at the awards last night, listing 1st and 2nd  in the Best 25 Large Companies category.”

Further to the award, for the 2nd year running Save Britain Money has also been awarded the highest available Three Star Accreditation by Best Companies, for demonstrating an "extraordinary focus on workplace engagement as an integral component of an organisation's success and growth".
