Mt. San Antonio College Placed First in the AeroDef Manufacturing Challenge

WALNUT, Calif. - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Cheers and accolades were shared after the AeroDef announcement of a first place finish for Mt. San Antonio’s (Mt. Sac) Industrial Design Engineering team February 27, 2014. Schools from out of State and California participated in this event held at the Long Beach convention center.

Visitors to the event were invited to test out the multi-platform simulator and give input as to their experience. Excitement and interest was evident as indicated from the line that would form. The simulator was adapted for flight, car racing and roller coaster but other simulated sports could be incorporated.

Abdul Hameed, Mt. Sac software team member would encourage the participants to crash so as to illustrate the “life-like” jarring experienced while hitting a wall. Huy Ha, Mt. Sac project coordinator team member would respond suggesting that they calibrate the intensity to 20% for safety measures.

"Several participants got back in line for more. Fun was had by all," said Mt. Sac's team member, Carlos Galdamez.
