ACTE launch R3000 Lite, dual SIM industrial 3G/4G VPN router

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Feb. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- The R3000 Lite router family builds on the success of the R3000 cellular router range offering global 4G, 3G or 2G connectivity with a basic functionality specification for cost conscious applications.

With a totally refreshed design, R3000 Lite is available in 4G, 3G HSPA+ or 3G HSDPA offering speeds up to 100Mbps, 14.4Mbps or 3.6Mbps in downlink respectively.

All models have a dual SIM port to ensure continuous cellular connectivity or hand over when usage tariffs are reached. All models retain the Robustel rugged metal enclosure style rendering it suitable for extreme operating environments of -40 to 85˚C.

Gateway functionality via Modbus and VPN tunnelling are supported with a web based Graphical User Interface available to customers requiring a centralised Machine to Machine (M2M) management platform. This is compatible with all R3000-Lite, R3000 or M1000 Pro V2 gateway devices and allows up to 1000 devices to be used and managed in the field.

Data interfaces available include RS232, RS485, USB or Ethernet whilst mounting of the products are straightforward via a dedicated wall or DIN rail mount bracket, available separately.

R3000 Lite products are ideal for remote automation and monitoring applications including ATM/vending machine connectivity, solar or wind energy monitoring, distribution automation, automatic meter reading, industrial automation and IP video surveillance.

The R3000 Lite range meets the regulatory requirements for Europe and U.S including CE marking, R&TTE, FCC, RCM and the RoHS and WEEE directives.
