Lincolnton NC Community Garden

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Feb. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Lincolnton NC, a small but tight community in Lincoln Co., is also known as “Lovabale Lincolnton” but, there is a big problem in Lincolnton like many other cities in the United States.  Hunger.

Today’s numbers for residents with income below the poverty level line is 33%.  Married couples are at 27%.  Single men are at 2% and female with no male present are at 70%.  The “very poor” residents in Lincolnton by age is 6-15 years old.  That’s children!

Today, times are hard.  Work is hard to find.  Food is expensive.  Gas is high and saving money is a joke.  Daystar is trying to do anything they can do help.  Daystar is starting a garden that will feed 100 families in Lincolnton.  Daystar will be growing foods like corn, tomatoes, beans, peppers, broccoli and more.

In order for Daystar to start this project they have a goal of $200 to meet to buy seed and buds.  Because Daystar Family Worship Center is a registered 501(c)3 your donation will be tax deductable and you are playing a key role in helping your community, a child and family in need.
