The Painting Vine offers clients to tap into their creative side through wine and painting. Owner and lifetime artist, Ann Abell, describes The Painting Vine as a base for fostering art and creativity in the local community. The studio offers adult wine and painting classes in the evenings, kids educational classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and open painting Tuesday - Friday afternoons. Traveling art classes are also available by reservation.
Owner Ann Abell has described the goal of the busines for long term partnership in Destin community, "I see The Painting Vine as a launch pad for promoting the arts. We will soon introduce 3D animation classes for adults and teenagers, teaching skills that are highly desirable in today's job market." Additional plans include a 5K run to raise money for art in education in Okaloosa County Schools and involvement in the Main Street Betterment Alliance, and offering gallery nights for local artists. Abell explains her passion for the business, "I've been painting since I was a child. Through many life experiences, I believe in the positive benefits of creative expression. It helps relieve stress, fosters teambuilding, and innovative thinking." The studio has been conducting traveling art classes since 2013, with the new studio opening in Jan 2014 it allows for visitors and locals to enjoy birthday parties, bachellorette parties, family reunions another option.
The studio is located at 234 Harbor Blvd, Destin Florida. It is located in the newly rennovated Rennaisance building, wihtin walking distance from the Harbor.
The Painting Vine is currently open on the weekends, through scheduled classes online at http://www.thepaintingvine.com. Starting March 17th, the studio will be open Tuesday through Saturdays, from 10am to 10pm. Locals and visitors can view available classes online or stop in the studio for open painting between 10am and 3pm.
