Dance and music festival set to kick off in city of Carmel

INDIANAPOLIS - Feb. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Indianapolis—The Nrithya Bharathi Institute of Dance is happy to announce the annual Ranga Shankaraa Dance & Music Festival that will be held April 6, 2014 at the Booth Tarkington Civic Theater located in Carmel, In from 4-7:30pm.

The annual art initiative will feature talented performers including Mangala Anand, a multifaceted dancer and choreographer, Prashant Shah, an outstanding male dancer of his genre, Divyasena, a versatile accomplished artist among other performers.

Ranga Shankaraa Dance & Music Festival is an annual festival that is intended to help enrich the lives of a diverse crowd and will also be presented as a platform to help cultivate communities for many years to come.

“The festival has always strived to celebrate the arts. The message is to come together, in harmony because the one truth that no one can change is that music and dance transcends any barriers and connects lives and people.” said Anand who is also the artistic director for Nrithya Bharathi Dance Institute.

Nrithya Bharathi Institute of Dance has partnered with Carnatic Music Association of Indianapolis, a not for profit organization to help promote the diversity of the dance and music festival.
