Four Belgrade University students are having the time of their lives before war is declared. Their innocence is shaken when Luftwaffe bombers strike the city. The students take refuge and then flee the city, only to have their hopes for rescue dashed when Axis aircraft strafe the coastline, sealing off their exit and forcing them in different directions. Two years later, with the United States formally entered into the war, the four students meet once again to work undercover for the Allies.
The friends survive the harsh living conditions, guerrilla attacks, Communist double agents, and a ruthless SS counter-intelligence chief on their trail. Despite all the challenges, the students uncover information so crucial to the war effort that the Allies keep it a secret for almost 60 years. What could be so crucial that ithas been kept quiet for over half a century?
