Difference between MBA and PGDM

MBA can only be offered by a University or institutes affiliated to University. PGDM programmes on the other hand are offered by autonomous bodies which may have some affiliation like AICTE or AIU OR both. IIM, ISB, XLRI, etc are the best examples of PGDM programme providers. Most of Universities in India follow a dated curriculum, which can also be interpreted as outdated MBA programmes. PGDM programmes on the other hand are more industry oriented. PGDM Colleges are free to modify their curriculum, as per the industry trends, which is not possible with an MBA Programme.
