Workshop to Help Family Businesses Improve Communication and Productivity

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. - Feb. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- White Haven Pa. – February 26, 2014 --- Sylvia Lafair, PhD does it again! -- A nationally recognized authority on leadership and business culture will teach local family businesses of Buffalo, NY, how to improve their firms and communication skills at a workshop hosted by the new Family Business Association at the University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL).

The workshop and networking event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on March 18 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens in Depew. The free event is open to members of the CEL Family Business Association. During the workshop, keynote speaker Sylvia Lafair, PhD, President of Creative Energy Options, Inc. (http://www.ceoptions.com/)and award winning author of “Don’t Bring it to Work,” will discuss how to develop a strong trust base in the workplace, improve collaboration and creativity, identify stress triggers and diffuse conflict by observing and altering ingrained patterns.

As an executive coach and leadership educator, Lafair has 30+ years of experience with all levels of management from corporate officers of global companies to executives of non-profits, owners of leading family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurs. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has taught at Hahnemann University.

As a workshop leader or keynote speaker, Sylvia engages audiences with her natural storytelling ability. Her quick-witted humor, charisma, and energy are infectious and her knowledge gives substance and depth to all presentations.  Her thought-provoking messages leave audiences with information to take back to the office and immediately put into practice.
