Local Ocala Startup, Family Owned Agency Wins Silver Awards at 2014 ADDY Awards in Gainesville

OCALA, Fla. - Feb. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Ocala startup agency Kwikturn Media LLC, a division of family owned trucking company R+L Carriers, has won four local American Advertising Awards through the American Advertising Federation of Gainesville.

The awards, formally known as ADDYs, were announced during the annual ADDY Awards Banquet held in Gainesville, Feb. 21. The ADDY awards honor “the best in local advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry.”

Kwikturn won a silver award in the “Website, Consumer Services” division for the website www.boutwellbuilt.com, which it created and designed for Boutwell Contracting & Development, a general contractor and home  builder in Ocala.  The Boutwell site also garnered Kwikturn its second silver ADDY  in the “Mobile Websites Services” division.

“We are just a young family-owned agency and we are humbled by our showing at our very first Ad Fed  event. It was easy for us to produce the Boutwell site as they have an awesome product and they are a great crew over there,” said Steve Crandall, Director of Ebusiness for R+L Carriers. “We recognize the importance of today’s growing mobile market and responsive design, so the ADDY for mobile services is also an exciting win for us. We have an outstanding team of web developers and these awards help demonstrate that. ”

Kwikturn also won two silver ADDYs for two of its infographics in the “Elements of Advertising: Illustration, Single” division. The winning infographics were titled “Today’s Grassroots Marketing” and “Evolution of the Commercial Web.” Both infographics were published as part of Kiwkturn’s blog at www.kwikturnmedia.com. The infographics can also be found in their portfolio linked in the Kwikturn website.

“We set out to create something different visually in terms of our blog with these infographics. We tried this, not having done a lot of them,” Crandall said.

Kwikturn Media LLC, established in late 2012, is an exclusive agency to freight customers of R+L Carriers, providing social networking, e-commerce and web design strategies for small businesses in the manufacturing, wholesale, distribution and retail industries.

The ADDYs are the nation’s largest advertising competition with more than 60,000 entries. Local entries are judged by a distinguished panel of advertising creatives from outside the Gainesville-Ocala market. Local winners proceed to the District and, potentially, to National competitions.
