Quality Parks on WBAB and WBLI with Ted Lidner

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Feb. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Quality Parks was featured on a WBAB and WBLI Radio Interview. The interview, with Ted Lidner, featured Long Island Biologists, Chris Duffner and Eric Powers. It provides an excellent overview of the Quality Parks Master Naturalist program, including a discussion of  what Naturalists do, an overview of Long Island's natural areas and the continued need for  conservation, education, and environmental protection.

Naturalists are deeply engaged in a personal commitment to open space preservation. Naturalists are often involved in outdoor recreation, become advocates, teachers, planners, landscape professionals, and are otherwise employed or volunteer in relevant services.

The interview was approximately 30 minutes. It is Quality Parks most recent  radio interview, summarizing their current plans to expand the Quality Parks Master Naturalist program to environmental significant areas, such as the East End, The Carmans River, and the Pine Barrens. It also featured and named the many local experts, Cooperators, involved in making this exciting program available, year round.

When it comes to Long Island: Be Naturally Intelligent™ The Quality Parks Master Naturalist program offers 45 hours of field and classroom training plus 20 hours of guided relevant service. The program is flexible to accomodate busy schedules. It is also a great way to meet like-minded outdoorsy people.
