- Feb. 24, 2014 - DUBLIN, Ireland --
Rising is the internationally acclaimed tribute to Ronnie James Dio. Not only do they continue to reach new plateaus with their singular presentation of one of metal’s most beloved figures, they’re also rapidly building steam as the world’s first non-profit tribute band. In addition to raising awareness for the selected charities, net proceeds from the 2014 tour will be used to make distributions regionally, focusing on non-profit organizations such as homeless teen and youth support services, cancer research programs, and music education. This tour will be benefiting both the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre and the Musical Youth Foundation – both local to Ireland.
Rising captures the essence and authenticity that defined the sounds behind the legendary Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Heaven and Hell, Elf, and of course, Dio. It becomes clear within the first five minutes of seeing the band live how this unit operates as a genuine transport for fans to connect with their passion for Ronnie James Dio as a master of the art. Rising’
s Ireland and U.K. concert series will stretch across most major territories, holding surprises at every turn with alternating setlists as well as a newly updated stage show. Beyond the excitement of catching the performance will be a unique opportunity to join and participate in the cause while making some new friends along the way, all of which plays an essential part in ensuring this music will live on as a treasured chapter in Rock ‘n’ Roll history – a tale of high adventure that reveals a supreme soul gone much too soon.
