Single, Catholic man between the ages of 18 and 40, considering a call to religious life and service to the Church as a brother or priest, can visit with the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement at their home at Graymoor in Garrison, NY, on the weekends of March 7-9, April 4-6, May 16-18 and October 3-5.
Vocation Director, Father Dennis Polanco, SA, says, “While we call this a ‘Come and See’ weekend, men in the process of discerning a consecrated life are invited to come and pray, learn, reflect, rejoice and discover what it is to be an Atonement Friar.”
Through their mission and ministries, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement serve people of every race, religion, and walk of life. Their social ministries help the poor, the needy, and the homeless; people living with HIV; frail and elderly in hospitals and hospices; those in prison; and people seeking recovery from alcoholism and chemical addictions. Their ecumenical work makes them leaders of the international movement to heal the divisions within Christianity and among all faiths. Through their prayers and pastoral ministries, they bring spiritual renewal, unity, harmony, and reconciliation throughout the world and carry the Gospel’s message to three continents.
