Kean Quest Semi-Finalists Announced for Youth Round Two

PITTSBURGH - Feb. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.) – Erica Perri, 12, of North Huntingdon, received the Audience Choice Award during the 2014 Kean Quest Talent Search Youth Preliminary Round Two.  Perri performed “Rolling in the Deep" by Adele.  She is a sixth grade student attending Norwin Middle School.

Perri performed with 30 vocalists in the second round of the singing competition held Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road.  Based on scores from a panel of judges, Perri joins 14 semi-finals from preliminary round two who are slated to compete Sunday, March 30.  The semi-finalists are:

Contestants are competing for a chance to win a recording package and professional head shots and be named in two categories: overall Judges’ Choice and Audience Choice. The annual “Jackie Evancho Award,” named forinternational singing sensation Jackie Evancho, will also be presented April 11during the Kean Quest Talent Search Youth Finals. The “Jackie Evancho Award” is presented to a contestant who, like Jackie, has competed in Kean Quest for two or more years, works hard, never gives up and continues to follow his or her dreams no matter the outcome of the competition.

The 2014 Kean Quest Talent Search benefits the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which provides more than $4.5 million to needy residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St Barnabas.
