The RomCom Road movie helmed by BAFTA nominated film director Ryan Hendrick is hoping to start filming later this year.
Hines who rose to fame in 1966 when he joined BBC’s Dr Who alongside Patrick Troughton as the Timelord’s trusty companion Jamie McCrimmon, a jacobean warrior from the battle of Culloden.
It was this character that inspired writer Diana Gabaldon when creating her renowned series of novels Outlander, currently being filmed for US TV Network Starz.
Frazer will join the already star studded cast that includes Still Game’s Ford Kiernan and Gregory’s Girl’s Clare Grogan. On reading the script he remarks were simply, "It's a winner!"
Journey Bound tells the story of a young lawyer being driven by his Eco Warrior Cousin through the Highlands of Scotland to salvage his relationship with the love of his life.
Ryan said, “ This film is about revitalizing the Scottish Film Industry that is currently on it’s knees. There are many reasons for this and the lack of trust being the industry has for both the audiences and our talented artists being able to produce fun family films for cinema release is at the heart of the problem. We need to fix this.”
Hendrick’s ambitious vision has started to attract some of the most talented people working in Film and Television today with Still Game star Ford Kiernan already attached to the project, along with Award Winning Cinematographer John Rhodes (Only Fools and Horses, One Foot in The Algarve & 16 Years of Alcohol) and renowned theatre director and musician Gordon Dougall this film currently in the process of trying to raise the funds required is already touting some of the best people in the business.
