DALLAS - Feb. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- McKinney, Texas.  The Fur Bearing trout suffered two seperate rib injuries in a fierce battle Satutday night in a 5 - 4 win over the Inuits in the Dr. Pepper Star Center D2 Green division.   In the middle of the first period,  first line center Tom was driven the boards in a savage move which immediatley bought the game to a halt.  Tom managed to make to the bench and after consultation with the team Doctor, who was also suggering from a rib injury,

Medical test after the game confirmed that Tom suffered multiple fractured ribs, and was immediatelty placed on injured reserve.  Additional tests are expected, but the best guess is Tom will not return until the March 22nd game versus the Mayhem.

"It is is like losing our quarterback" commented Charles and Lennie upon hearing the news of the extent of Tom's injuries.  Both wished Tom Godspeed in his recovery and hoped to see him back on the bench in time for the Meyhem game.

In a seperate occurence, Dr. James re-injured an existing rib injury from last weeks game, and his status has been placed on a "game by game" basis.

Members of the trout executive committee were set to meet in the coming days to formulate a plan for the next three weeks, to discuss replacements while Tom heals from his injury.  Members of the I-League and D2 Black team have been notified to be ready to be called up, or down, for the next couple of games.
