STILLWATER, Okla. - Feb. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Oklahoma author and resident, Lynndell Newby, has published Technology Is Starving America, a book that alerts Americans to technology’s figurative and literal starvation of America.  He discusses the concept of a “technoholic,” various areas that technology detrimentally affects Americans’ lives, and how to avoid “starvation.”

While Newby acknowledges many technological achievements that have positively influenced society, he stresses to readers that there are many unintended consequences that manifest in Americans’ lives.  He advises readers how to limit negative influences from technology while still benefitting from its positive outcomes.  “The world is just too dependent on technology.  I was compelled to write this book not to bash technology, but to shed a light on the quality of life that Americans are losing and help people reclaim some of it before it is too late,” said Newby.

To find out more about “technoholics” or ways technology is “starving” America, you can view a sample or purchase the book at major online retailers such as Amazon, the Apple iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo, Baker & Taylor Blio, Page Foundry, Smashwords and the Diesel eBook Store (Amazon and Barnes and Noble links provided below).
