Current tube and joint systems function by attaching metal joints to plastic-coated steel tubes. The metal joints create grip on the tube through compression force and dimples that indent the plastic. While the dimples are necessary for a strong grip, they also make movement of the joint during the assembly process more difficult. Moving the joint on the tube during the assembly process, as well as the dimple marks themselves creates a suboptimal aesthetic tube appearance.
“GRAPHIT solves this problem by inverting the grip system, with the SoftAdjust now inside the joint, not on the tube. This innovation delivers unrivalled ease of adjustment without compromising strength,” according to Luman Temby, Director of Operations for Trilogiq USA.
