Food is meant to supply our body with the nutrients it needs and that is all. We are not bears, therefore we do not need to eat like we are going to hibernate. Eating light and frequent is more like a bird and that is how we should eat. Most of us were trained to eat three meals a day and the last meal usually is the biggest, right? If we will mentally focus on what we plan to do for a given day and the tasks that are involved and then eat accordingly, we will manage our meals and our bodies far more efficiently. If it’s a work day, eat for energy and stamina, if it’s a off day and you plan on lounging more than not, eat light and skip a meal altogether.
Fruits should replace sugary treats and that way we can still satisfy our sweet tooth without the negative effects that sugar can play on our fat storage.
